I am a graduate of Western State College, Geology, and a graduate of the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver, Attorney

I own Andrew Allen, Law Office, P.C., and have represented clients in Crested Butte and the greater mountain empire of Colorado since 1996. My core practice is criminal law defense but I found that clients need someone with a thorough knowledge of many other areas of the law including real property law.

As a real property attorney I have extensive experience in residential, condominium and business sales and I’ve been a home owners association attorney, plus I have experience with land use changes, land use resolutions, property platting and large track property subdivisions. I’ve drafted legal abstracts and have a thorough working knowledge of the clerk & recorder’s property records office and recall working as a toddler in the basement of the Gunnison County courthouse where the official clerk & recorder land records once were housed only in paper form before the days of computer databases and Internet access.

I was a licensed title insurance attorney for Rocky Mountain Title Insurance working for another broker, now at Red Lady Realty, Ryan Dickens. As an attorney I’ve litigated numerous landlord-tenant disputes and so the gist is: I’m immersed in many real property issues, so becoming an associate broker only made sense.
